Provo Utah Home Sales slightly decreases in August

The month of August 2011 home sale for Provo Utah real estate slightly dropped 5.88% with a total of 64 houses sold. Number of houses sold in the same period last year was 68.
Year over year prices of homes are also still down from August 2010 median sold price of $175,000 and original list price of $185,400 to the same month this year’s median sold price of $162,650 and original list price of $174,900. Sales price decline by 7.06%.
Median dollar per square foot price of homes sold in August this year was at $82.85. Half of the houses sold were bigger than 2,006 square feet. The typical of these homes sold includes three bedrooms and three baths.
Of the 526 total houses for sale in the real estate market of Provo today, 112 were under contract properties. Last month, 575 houses are listed for sale and 94 were listed under contract.
