<p>The real estate market of Provo Utah dropped it sales for the month of March this year  by 9.26%. A total of 49 houses were sold in March this year compared to 54 total sold houses a year ago.</p>
<p>7.52% was the decreased in the prices of homes seen in this month. Original list price was $173,000 and median sold price was $154,900 from last year&#8217;s median sold price of $167,500 and original list price of $189,400.</p>

<p>Provo total active listings in the market were 423. Under contract listings were 133.</p>

<p>During the month of January 2012, Provo area sales decreased 35.42% with a total of 31 residential homes sold as reported by the Provo MLS. In the same month last year, total residential homes sold were 48.</p>
<p>Additionally, the prices of homes also declined 5.37%  from a median sold price of $157,450 and an original list price of $171,400 to a median sold price of $149,000 and an original list price of $155,000.</p>
<p>Each square foot of residential home went sold in January this year cost approximately $79.09. The median square feet size of these homes was 1,884. Typically, the home sold have four bedrooms and three baths.</p>
<p>There are at present a total of 409 homes in Provo for sale. A total of 109 homes are listed in the market as under contract.</p>

<p>Year over year prices of homes are also still down from August 2010 median sold price of $175,000 and original list price of $185,400 to the same month this year’s median sold price of $162,650 and original list price of $174,900. Sales price decline by 7.06%.</p>

<p>Median dollar per square foot price of homes sold in August this year was at $82.85. Half of the houses sold were bigger than 2,006 square feet. The typical of these homes sold includes three bedrooms and three baths.</p>
<p>Of the 526 total houses for sale in the real estate market of Provo today, 112 were under contract properties. Last month, 575 houses are listed for sale and 94 were listed under contract.</p>

Sellers’ asking price of these residential homes declined from $204,900 to $172,900. About 91% was the difference between the median price and the original list price of homes sold in December 2010.</p>

<p>Price per square foot of these residential homes was at $87.27. Median square feet size was 1,800. The average home sold during this month includes three bedrooms and two baths.</p>
<p>At present, Provo has a total of 509 active listings in the market and 36 homes which are under contract.</p>
